秋葉絢 ガラス展 たねとわたしのものがたり

Greetings from the artist

The whole world is in a terrible situation. With no correct answers for how we should proceed, we have been forced to think deeply about our existence as human beings and about our system of society.

Generally, I work in an Atelier and rarely go out, but even I become discouraged. I am, however, grateful that I have the support of many people and that I can continue to create and exhibit my artwork.

The theme of this exhibition is the tree and grass seeds around me.

Looking around, even at home, it can be noticed that plant seeds blend into our daily lives in various ways.

They travel about via people, animals, birds, and the wind.
They are used in various ways in our daily lives.
Some also start and end as seeds.

From these small pods packed with the force of life, my imagination swelled and I thought about trying to place them in my artwork.

If you are thus able to enjoy the works, I will be very happy.

Aya Akiba

Greetings from Gallery Hanakagesho

Under the social conditions of the pandemic, we decided to hold the solo exhibition of Aya Akiba.

Business restrictions have been lifted, but with the situation still uncertain, the artist’s work and video explanation will be presented on a special Internet site.

For those who wish to personally view the works at the gallery, please contact us to make an appointment. Along with the artist, we hope for your understanding.

Every day difficulties continue every day, but Akiba’s works are, as always, cheerful and delightful. A major highlight is the stupendous imagination possible from such small works.

We hope many will view the site, and if the artwork brings joy for even a short time, we will be very happy.

Tatsushi Hashimoto,
Gallery Hanakagesho
