Explanation of work
This carving depicts the moment a boar awakens after sensing something. In many tales, boars are regarded as mountain guardians or gods. My impression, however, is that a boar is an omnipresent animal like a mountain itself. Because of this, I used a deep green moss agate stone to give the impression of mountain forests within the boar’s eyes.
