Explanation of work

In Japan, the nighthawk in Kenji MIYAZAWA’s “The Nighthawk Star” is famous as an ugly bird, but in real life I think it is a cute and beautiful bird. I carved this work thinking I could use the characteristics of the material to create the reflection of the moonlight on the folded wings.
